The future way to travel

Booking trips has become easier, more accessible, informative, more personal and uniform with SJs common design systems. The app has now been updated with a new enhanced travel mode (android). SJ's design system has been adapted for iOS and Android at the same time as a new booking system and technology shift have added the basis for the way of traveling in the future.

New - but familiar

The SJ app is used daily by hundreds of thousands of satisfied users. When we renewed the app's design according to SJ's common design system, it was therefore crucial that the users would recognize themselves. We have introduced a more modern design language and placed particular emphasis on improving small details for a better overall experience.

A more personal experience

Tickets become your journeys, making them a little more personal. In this new version, we have gathered everything the traveler needs before their journey here.

Trips, cards and tickets have been visually repackaged to be more distinct and easier to understand. All travel cards are now digital and in one place for faster access. The traffic information related to your trips has been improved with a clearer status updates before and during your journey.

New travel mode

In the Android app, there is now a completely new travel mode that provides the right information before, during, and after the trip. Travel mode is a unique feature for travel apps, helping millions of travelers reach their destinations every year – now it's even better.

With a new real-time map, the app provides a better overview of where the traveler is in their journey, guides them through upcoming changes, and provides the latest traffic information.

The entrance to self-scanning is via the QR code scanner, allowing the feature to take up minimal visual space in the app. You can also scan the QR code with your normal camera, so there’s no need to find the right app. By accessing the feature through the scanner, users can quickly identify unique stores by scanning a QR code, eliminating the need for login or selecting a store.
